Co-Curricular Life
Our co-curricular offer at Pate’s is exceptional, with clubs, activities, sports, music, outdoor adventure, volunteering all in the mix.
Taking place a Lunchtimes and after school, Pate’s buzzes with activity, with students creating, exploring, performing, discovering and being active to their hearts’ content.
Students with particular passions are encouraged to set up their own club or society, especially in the Sixth Form where in addition to teacher-led programmes, students host 30+ Sixth Form Societies. Sixth Formers often also assist in leading clubs and activities for the younger year groups.

Our co-curricular scene is aspirational and inspirational, allowing each child to explore a multitude of opportunities and discover new skills and talents, boosting their sense of self and broadening their friendship circles; heightening their sense of belonging.
At Pate’s, we work hard and play hard - and most certainly have a lot of fun along the way.
Co-Curricular Trips
Students enjoy an excellent range of Educational Visits throughout the year, enriching our students' learning experience. As well as honing knowledge and skills, these trips help students develop self-confidence, independence, communication skills and teamwork, and build friendship bonds.
Annual trips include:
- Academic: Biology and Geography field trips; Art, History, Politics European study tours; overseas language exchanges.
- Cultural: Theatre productions; museum visits; Mandarin Excellence Programme immersion trip to China.
- Music: Concerts, recitals, choir tour to France.
- Sports: fixtures, competitions, Junior Sports UK tour and Senior Sports tour to South Africa.
- Outdoor Adventure Camps, including Year 7 Camp for all students.
- Duke of Edinburgh's Award expeditions: Local destinations (Bronze); Brecon Beacons/Lake District (Gold).
- CCF: field training exercises, military base visits.
